A model of ARTI’s Compact Biogas Plant is being used for awareness and display in one of Japan’s biggest science exhibitions – ‘Science News! From Asia - Power of Asia, Power of Science’, organized by Miraikan – National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. This special exhibition, running from June 2, 2007 to September 2, 2007 in Tokyo (Japan); attempts to convey unique developments in science and technology in efforts to address issues related to environment, energy use and natural disasters in Asia, using cutting-edge technology and audio-visual experience. For the ARTI Biogas Plant exhibit, a locally-made model of the plant has been exhibited by the organisers. They are also playing our VCD film , which shows how to build a plant using local resources in a step-by-step manner. The organisers have made further arrangements of giving scientific and more general explanations (both in Japanese and English) over different video screens, along with a small screen with animation dedicated for children. Some of the photographs of the exhibit are displayed above – the left photo of the exhibit gives an overview of its layout with the biogas plant model on one side and various information screens and on the opposite side. The right hand side photograph shows a close up of the model plant attached to a burner, along with a screen playing the video film regarding the plant. The exhibit has been appreciated by many and has encouraged people to write to us about it. We at ARTI hope to reach out to many more people with our environment-friendly technologies.
