During the month of August 2006, a group of graduate fellows from the University of California (Berkeley) Management of Technology under the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Research Programme funding, visited Maharashtra for a project on field testing of Chinese stoves. The project aimed to examine ways to provide rural Indian homes with improved cooking stove technologies, already found successful in China. ARTI provided technical and logistic support to the graduate fellows.
